I have just taken apart a hatch which has been on our boat for over 20 years, because it was leaking when it rained, and the perspex/ makrilon/ preperation H /that it was made from had crazed.
I was very impressed that the original sealant between the perspex and the frame was still flexible, sticky and doing its job after all this time. Wherever the hatch was leaking, I don´t think that it was from there.
Can anyone tell me what it was?
Clearly, the original suppliers will have gone bust, because of the lack of repeat business, but the magic goo must still exist.
