I’m not sure of the names for any of this stuff, but….

You have the pin type things that screw into the GRP, which in turn the round shaped poppers clip over. The round shaped poppers are fitted into the edges of the canvas! Is anybody following this?

The canvas around a couple of the poppers has began to tear in a couple of spots and I was hoping there was a proven repair that I could do that would ensure the tear doesn’t get any worse and ends up tearing out the popper all together?

Sorry if this is a clear as mud!

Yeah I understand, just.
I think you will need to glue or stitch a patch of material around the torn area (after removing the stud) and then fit new stud over / through the repaired area.

This explanation is probably as vague and difficult to understand than your question /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Do as "itsonlymoney" said and use sticky sail repair tape inside and out having removed the "eye". Then stitch around the edges for a neat job. use rounded corners on your patches and stitch about 5 mill in from the edge using a propriety cover or sail repair twine (strong but fine terylene) then replace eye for a "Proper job"
