I suppose I can, seeing as I don't know what GNSS is.
GPS was the original and generic term for fix in space. In these enlightened times, with other space junk up there, they are all called Global Navigation Satellite Systems.

Side question. Does anyone remember Differential GPS prior to Selective Availability being binned?

Yes, i had a Diff receiver fitted alongside a Garmin 128, it picked it corrections up from point lynas, it worked very well for wreck fishing, but my Lowrance eagle paper sounder interfered badly with it, shortly after i bought it they switched selective availability off, i was left with a useless toy.

I’m sure, yes. 1992 puts me before the real age of GPS on leisure boats though. My first set was a hand held, NMEA to a Yeoman. Very advanced, at the time?
Hmmm, still have and use the Yeoman, big picture on paper and x marks the spot if all dies.
BUT when paper dies will have only old uncorrected charts :( ? ?
