Can you help the Lydia Eva? Yarmouth-based historic steam trawler needs a skipper

The volunteers who look after the 84-year-old fishing boat are in desperate need of a qualified skipper who can take her out to sea, on the popular trips she runs every year from her dock on Great Yarmouth’s quayside.

Slight thread drift but on a visit to the Broads last year the crew allowed us to tie up alongside while waiting for the Town bridge to open. Went for a tour round the boat. Must say a very worthwhile experience of how these fishing boats worked. Bought the souvenirs and took plenty of photographs. Big thanks to the volunteer crew who made us so welcome.
