This is West Port Holland.
3 beaches west of the Dobman.
Lovely rock pools when the tide is out.
We have been camping in Cornwall for more years that I care to remember.
We have spent many wonderful days on this beach, and many wet ones too!
We were passing this May and the kids wanted to visit their old haunts and dive of one of the rocks.
Youngest daughter managed to scrape her self on the same old rock as always.
Bu**er, why did you have to close it before I could be a smartarse! As a child I used to holiday next door at East Portholland. That was in the 50s. My gran lived in the end cottage of the terrace there and it was magic. I slept in a campbed under a window and went to sleep to the sound of the waves. I guess it's where my love affair with the sea began. Only downside was, the bog was up at the other end of the cottages with newspaper on a nail and lots of spiders. /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif The whole area is owned by the Williams family who live in Caerhays Castle at Portlunie which is the next beach to the East. Happy memories indeed. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
