But I wouldn't worry too much about it. You may find that an odd person will claim that it's essential, but in reality very, very few people ever equalise their batteries. I've never done it, and my batteries seem to last pretty well.
That's a good site!. But I agree with pvb that's it's going over the top. Far more important is just to make sure you never let them get too discharged, and certainly don't leave them in discharged condition. You should then get 3-5 years at least out of them. Personally, I subscribe to the 'buy the cheapest available' school, though I know others differ.
