International do a sachet of non slip additive granules. On the website it says for application to any "toplac" or "perfection"
What about their Original Varnish? Can it be added to this?

I'm thinking about options of replacing this which had squares of clear non slip within the varnish in strips across the deck.

Any suggestions?
Thanks.

umm, you might have a careful look and check those nails in those planks. They look a bit sick. Possibly

Back in my Dingy days (good title for a book?) we used to sprinkle granulated sugar on to wet varnish. Once the varnish had dried the sugar would be rinced off with warm water leaving a gently stippled finnish. Excellent non-slip, cheep and green.

Used to varnish the floor of my Fireball and the side deck where the crew trapezed with matt varnish sprinkled with fine sand. Bought the sand in a pet shop - it was destined for the bottom of bird cages.

Downside - bit of a burger to scrape off when time came for re-varnishing.

I've used yacht varnish/silver sand on a workbench/work platform which I made a few years ago. It's proven to be much harder wearing than I had even hoped for.

There was an old trick of sprinkling the varnish with course sugar. Once the varnish has dried you rinse it off with warm water to dissolve the sugar leaving you a non-slip surface
