Can I use a NASA electromagnetic speed log sensor with my Raymarine set up?

The NASA ad blurb says it's "NMEA-0183" and previous PBO threads seem to have shown this is an acceptable system for Raymarine ST60 instruments.

But will my set up be to this standard? Where will I find this information, please?

Check the manuals for your ST60 instruments, see which can accept NMEA0183 input, and whether they'll accept either VLW or VHW (the sentences transmitted by the Nasa log).

ST4000+ autopilot, and possibly some other models, accepts VHW and transmits it onto Seatalk. I don't know if any other instruments do.
