Any volunteers to kiss it better... /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I guess you can, I suppose it depends where you live. I mean in America they get away with suing for spilling hot coffee on themselves and complaining to McDonalds that it was hot. I mean what do you expect with coffee??

You probably need photos for evidence. That could be embarrassing.....

Always better to have hard evidence. Eye witnesses can get distracted in these situations. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Like all these things, it depends on the circumstances. For instance, (purely hypothetically, you understand), the strength of your case might be weakened somewhat if you were wearing unsuitable footwear at the time, particularly if it had long, spiky heels and came from the emporia of (for instance) Messrs Choo or Blahnik.

However, as you were no doubt wearing a nice, sensible pair of Docksiders, this won't be an issue, will it? /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Hope your bottom is better soon!

You mean, what does "Kimmerised" mean. Ask Brendan, he's the expert. And always the cause of my getting Kimmerised too.

ME! I've only been kimmerised a few times. There are others far more expert at it than me

Can I intrude? I think your claim would stand a better chance if the pontoons had been gritted! I complained that the cross-line footbridge at our local rail station was never gritted or cleared of snow. I was informed that to do so could make the company liable, this was less likely if the conditions were left 'au naturel' so to speak. I believe that this also applies to domestic paths & driveways and probably private quays and pontoons.

These Brighton Marina pontoons are treacherous when they're icy aren't they? Took me by surprise last Friday evening! But I'm not sure you can blame the Marina for it.
