...to buy the marinero, here at Levkas Marina a new outboard?

Requirements:-

1. That it be much lower power than the 20hp Tohatsu he is using at present since when he takes off at full speed to meet a new arrival, he is just going over hump speed as he passes our berth so the wash from his dory is considerable (& IN-considerate too!). 10hp would surely be adequate since he only needs serious "grunt" when acting as a pusher tug to get poorly manoeverable boats into the far too small berths here and I remember having a 7.5 Honda once that towed a forty footer off the Shambles.

2. (If it's a new one this will be the case anyway) That it be four stroke as every time he passes by he fills our boat with choking fumes.

Hmm may I suggest a petition and then present it to the Manager. Explaining your problem?

Not confined to Greece either.
I found Bodrum marina like a washing machine because of the berthing guys RIBs charging around all day.
I think its part of the marinero training that even if the distance to travel is only 50m its still very important to get the boat on the plane and look cool.
"Hump speed" is typically achieved just 10m before destination.
