Can anyone tell me the manufacturer of these hinges please and what they are called please, I've never seen them before. They are under the extension of a table, lift the extension up and they lock and hold it, press the vertical bit to the side and they allow the extension to drop again. I have found a Utube video on how they work but not where to buy.

No idea, maybe you could Google them.

Helpful, presumably the assumption being that I had made no effort to search for myself.

Especially since the name has been revealed, took me about a minute. Also called spring loaded table hinges ...

If the name was revealed I missed it. Thank you for the links.

If I can provide people people with information as to where to find things I usually just do it regardless of how easy I may think it may be for them to do it themselves. I usually have no information as to their ability, location, connection speed, data allowance etc. to form an opinion as to how easy it may be for them to search.

Don't think I will be buying them at the listed prices.

Not at all, why should you think that?

I have to say that, bearing in mind I gave you the information on the manufacturer, plus a link to their website, your response is rather ungrateful. I won't bother helping in future.

Is your broken or do you just need another one? I could probably make you something similar in stainless although it wouldn't look as nice!

That is a kind offer thank you. No I don't have any of the hinges at present. I have a saloon table one side of which drops, the other doesn't, our boat is small and it would be a lot easier if both sides dropped. The side that drops is supported by a frame that slides back under the non-dropping side, so to achieve both sides dropping needs a different solution. I may make a new table or modify the existing. The hinges seemed like a possible solution but the cost is high. I am still looking and have other ideas that would work, including one from PBO Sketchbook a while back.

I imagine that these hinges put a huge strain on the screws, and the wood around them.
I decided to start a new thread, but this picture may help...

My cockpit table has 25mm steel rails forming a rectangular inverted U-shape that lift and lock under a lip on the leaf. They work well, unless you knock the leaf as you stand up! I keep meaning to add a catch to hold them.

Anyone suggest a catch I could use?
