I am looking at a boat in Glasson Dock and will need to get it surveyed. Any recomendations for a basic Structural and Valuation survey.

We used his dad when we bought our boat, 25 years ago! We were very happy with the service at the time and they're only in barrow, so not far away from Glasson.

Glasson Dock. If you struggle to find a Surveyor who would be inexpensive to do a survey at Glasson, (and depending on how much the boat is) You could ask the Marina to check the hull and rigging. The Marina itself has a full Paintshop doing extensive repairs and hull resprays, in addition they also make Rigging and I recently had a quote for £670 to renew mine.
Also residing in the Village is a very good"Mobile" Marine Mechanic called Mick Fuller, As I understand it, even if you get a Surveyor they may listen to the engine and perhaps say "Appears to be working satisfactorily" but they dont do a Compression Test.
