Unfortunately, it looks like I am heading towards a commercial dispute with my boatyard/marina on Leros Island.

Rod I am not but you may be , are you a member of the CA ? They may have a local guy who can recommend one .
Or the RYA who maybe able to help .

Also a little bit leery of choosing a lawyer from Prof. Google or the the yellow pages

Ask at the Embassy or Consulate?

Rejoining the RYA and CA might be a good investment then. A heck of a lot cheaper than a few minutes of a lawyers time.

And if using wider contacts you could avoid the need to go legal on this then that would be a huge benefit (fighting a legal case in a foreign language in a foreign country against a local business, the odds start the wrong way round)

Who are you and insured with ? I know I am covered for legal advise and help .
Just something to be awhere off Greek have a good way to string case out for years .
Awhat ever the problem is , maybe best to try and sorted it out to both advanced

Good idea Vic - thanks ! - I do pay extra for legal protection with my insurance - will check whether they can/will help.

Legal assistance linked to insurance is only intended for pursuing claims related to damage - that is uninsured losses, not for commercial disputes.
