Can anyone identify this bulb

This bulb is 12v and is from one of the lamps on my boat, can anyone tell me the name/model etc so I can get replacements?



Also if there is a good LED equivalent

It's just an ordinary capless bulb. There are loads of LED versions. Look on eBay for starters.

I think It's an R955 -

12v 16w W16W Capless Brake (High Level Brake Light)
Product Dimensions (mm): H 38 x W 16 x D 16

The base is 9.5mm by @ 2mm.

You'll easily get a "5w" LED equiv, but might struggle to get the higher output version.

as above, capless, or wedge. Used for Citroens, Peugeots, everything. They come in 1.2 and 5Watts, with ocasional higher.

The LEDs which replace them are MUCH cooler, but the dome of the LED makes the light more focused than spreading. I filed the dome to a flatter curve to get a better spread for the instrument panel.

The two I have in front of me are 12volt 5watt capless bulbs which are spares for the side lights on one of the cars.

They came from Halfords and the code number on the card is 501
