Hello all,

I'm a marine surveyor but based inland and specialise primarily on narrowboats. I have to identify the following two boats which have repossession orders on them. As I am not familar with them I wondered if anyone could help? I really need a guess at a manufacturer really.

The first is wooden, approx. 7m LOA with a Beam of approx. 2.5m. She has a single cylinder Sabb diesel fitted. No LPG aboard. Photos below:

The second is a GRP shell with no fit out, makers name, ID or plates of any kind.

Any help would be most helpful.

Thank-you for reading,

Good Grief........who on earth would want to repossess those?? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

They are being repossessed for failure to pay any fees. They are believed to be the property of a rather unscrupulous conman.

Coastal - having looked at the Falmouth Gypsy Class Association's gallery i would say you are right. Thank-you very much, it really is helpful.

Kind regards, Tom

Definitely a Falmouth Gypsy - with the original engine. Just hope it has not been left with raiwater in it - particularly the cockpit as prone to rot. If sound will make a super boat for pottering.

Falmouth Gypsy built by The Penryn Boatbuilding & Engineering Company (!) ..... where I had my first job after leaving school - making up rigging with an old Talurit Splicer machine! ... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Looks like a Falmouth Gypsy Mk 11, the age of the engine is in the serial no 1st i-x numbers tell you the number built to date and the last two tell you the year of build. useless info, but might be helpful worth about £2500 in present condition and double if rebuilt.
