The starter motors on my Peugeot Indenor XDP 6.85 engines (manufactured in 1962) need replacement parts, which the service agent cannot source. Volvo marinised the same Indenor engine (MD27), so a thought was could the appropriate Volvo starter motors be fitted - but these are out of production also. We are getting stuck and it seems that the solution may have to be to have the parts specially made. Or, has anyone got a solution that they can suggest...?
