HI There
I am desperately looking for info on what type of boat I have,
She is GRP, has an outboard motor and the choice of sailing mast/rig
I want to put her on the water but of course cannot get insurance without a make/suggested year.
She has Jack Holt sails but I gather that Jack didnt make anything like this

I really would be grateful for your help
Cheers

What is her length? She looks like a Pedro 16. Has she a mast and sails?

Has she an built in rudder or a rudder on the back. If built in she could also be a Seasafe Dandy?

We need more info please.

Cheers

Paul

WOW Paul
how did you do that...Ive been searching for months...
I'm sure she is 14 foot but I may be wrong...
the sail rig looks about right too....

Now we may be getting somewhere thanks to you

Cheers

HI Nautical Cheers
Tell me, do people use them on rivers quite happily?
I dont plan to sail, just use the outboard.
I;m intrigued where a toilet would go though lol /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Now I just have to get the insurance and figure out how the heck I get one of these teleflex thingys to fit onto the boat and the outboard.
Cheers

Just had a closer look. The windows and everything definately the same but the rear is different. I'll go find some other pics of the side/rear etc

Cheers

Your boat is a Pedro. My dad had a red one just like it in the 70's - it will be fine for tootling up rivers - he used to sail it around the Kyles of Bute. Your pic brought back some memories. Our Pedro was called Miniot (mini yacht)

Hi David
Cheers
I'll date it as a 1970's then and a Pedro
Shame I can;t find anything else about them on the net but you guys have helped so much
Cheers

Lou

Can't say I knew what it was but it looks like a nice little boat and in good nick if it's 70's. Glass still shines.

If she has a lifting centre board, she should sail quite nicely too. Would be good on an estuary or big lake. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Hope you enjoy her muchly.

Reminds me of a donkey. Remember to take a large bag of carrots with you that way it will follow you up the slipway at the end of the day - walk it back onto the trailer. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

It fits the description of a Pedro - "ballasted center keel with two side keels for stability" was sold without an engine for £822.00 but could be supplied with an inboard or outboard on request.

Hi Lou,

I am a boat addict. I spend my life looking at every advert I come accross and have a knack of remembering details. Back in 1996 I had a GP14 Sailing dinghy (my first boat that I owned) I wanted a Trailer Sailor and looked at lots and a Pedro was one of them. In the end I bought a Leisure 17. Somehow it was the first name that popped into my head....did take me 7 minutes to track one down to see if I was right!

Happy Sailing, Esturial sailing will be great in her!

Cheers

Thanks Paul...I think mine is shorter and where the engine goes is a little different...guess there are variants
