Can anyone help me identify a boat i just bought please

I have recently purchased a small cabin boat with 30hp outboard which is lovely /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
only problem is that i have no idea what it is and to get it insured they need to know make and model otherwise the insurance would be null and void. There is no id plate on the boat.
please , please , help

Yes I'd agree, a passing similarity but not the same, hull is quite different especially at the bow just below the water line.

No idea what it is though.

It's not a Bez: it looks a bit bigger than a Bez, and it's much more angular. And even if things like the mast, rig, sails, and rudder are long gone, I think you might have noticed (and possibly mentioned?) things like a centreboard case which would be much harder to conceal.

If the boat is less than 10 years old, then it should have a builders plate. But my guess is that the boat is older than that.

If it hasn't got a plate, don't despair. Just find yourself a decent insurer -- one with a human being at the end of the phone, who understands that boats are not quite like cars, and that just because there is a space on the form for "Make" and "model" doesn't necessarily mean it has to be filled in!

interesting little boat looks like a home completion/ build
my only visible concern would be the sighting of the nav lights
