Any information on "S. L. Drake". We are thinking that the S L is either Steam Launch or Steam Liner. Other than that we have no info at all.

Can't help much, but I've always understood S.L meant steam launch.

It's not mentioned in 1949 Lloyds but may be worth calling Ed Langley of The Henley who is very knowledgable about steam craft.

If your'e seeking to hire a steam launch I can heartily recommend S L Newnham from French bros. We hired her for my wife's sixtieth and it was a great success with excellent catering.
