Hi,

Need to replace my washer jets on my Fairline. Original ones have gone manky and almost half rotted away. Seem to be some sort of stainless type thing or chrome plated shite.

I understand some filling and gel coating may be required depending on the new ones. Happy with a "universal" stainless jet (twin squirt or mist). Pipe coming off looks like normal car washer jet pipe.

They are just drilled though and held on with a backnut sort of arrangement.

Thanks
Matt

I hardly dare mention this but I ordered and received some from Bates / Fairline recently. This is them...

That's the easy but, getting access to fit them will be a swine!

Would it not be simpler to try and source the original via Bates Wharf as opposed to cutting, filling etc? They get used once in a millennium !

If you do a search for Washer Jets and then switch to image view on google that is quite a good way of trying to match something as you can scroll through until you fine it. Ebay is similar but less suppliers.

You dont say which model - but on a S58 ( and as I recall a T40 they are very very difficult to get to from behind.

And when i posted I saw a similar reply from Pete!

I'd personally opt not to have them at all lol.

I'll have a trawl and see. Might speak to Bates but they take forever :(

You will probably not need to take headlining down as these washer jets used to be made in two parts and they pull apart just above where the threaded part joins the domed section,Well at least they used. They are a tight fit but will come apart.
In use the top sections would regularly get kicked off by the clumsy owners.
5 minute job!
Used to be fitted to land rovers and citreon 2cvs

I don't know about washer nozzles but I know that Fairline robbed the 2cv parts bin for other parts!

You're correct, the tops have been knocked off mine.

Anyhow, sadly I think the original 2 piece washers nozzles are no longer available and the one that I have now seems to be a single piece.

As I told you they should come apart. Try it! You can save yourself a whole load of grief. They look like a single piece but I bet they are not
I have some patio door locks for Phantom 38s
