i am looking for some informtion on a wooden yacht i bought in France, the reg documents say its 6.76mts X 3.7 approx, design i think is cote breton built by van cappellen in 1973 she has running backstays which i am not sure how this will work, i still have to get the boom from the owner he has it in storage after varnishing it. it has a long keel and a 20hp farymann engine, looks as if she will be o nice sea going boat, i found charts in her and she has been cruising mostly along the cvote de azure and out to corsica, and on chart has her in Tunisia, she needs some work and i am looking forward to this although i am new to it all. ihave dabbled with boats for years but this is my first sailboat that i own.
I will post a picture as soon as i get back home from my work in the caribean

Post some piccies, I'm sure somebody here will know your boat or something similar, it's a knowledgeable forum.
Good luck with her.
When you get the boom back on her, we can then discuiss your running backstays. Is she a gaff or bermudan? Does she have a staysail?
