Just called in to a local fishing/boating shop to see if they supplied Camping Gaz... they do.

How much for a 907 cylinder, (£15.99 in the UK)

8.80 euros!!!

I'm convinced he's got it wrong, but he showed me the cylinder, then told me the price, so I'll find out tomorrow. if he's right, that's just over a third of the UK price.... WTF is going on???

I remember a similar experience in 2004 in Bayona, but thought it had changed.

I've found a place that refills UK propane cylinders. When I pay for it I'll report on relative price. Hope it follows your example.
