Does the position of a calorifier in the fresh water system make any difference? All the schematics I have seen show the calorifier cold feed as the first item past the accumulator, with the feeds to the cold taps further down the system. On our yacht the calorifier cold feed is further down the system and I am wondering if this could be a cause of variations in the temperature of our shower as the fresh water pump cuts in and out. Alternatively could it be that the fresh water accumulator is too small - it is 0.6 litre, which seems a little small to support the flow needed for a shower? Any thoughts appreciated.

Over boat distances, it shouldn't matter as water is not compressable. Check your accumulator is pressurised OK, bike pump with gauge, pump off, taps open to set pressure to required level in manual (not the pressure printed on the side, that's likely the max working pressure with pump running, eg 3 or 4 bar).
