My Eno (anyone ever heard of them?) gas cooker oven does not stay alight when the control knob is released and one of the burners blows out as if too much gas is coming through. Any ideas on how to service/repair?
Not heard of Eno but for oven when you light it you have to hold tap in for about 10 secs there is probably a thermocouple (copper probe) above the oven burner if so, and it is geting hot in the flame, and burner will still not stay lit it will need replacing, it only carries a very small current so there is no danger about removing it, take it to a gas spares shop and they will probably find you a equivalent replacement .
For your hotplate the aeration may need adjusting, (if burner and injector are clean (dont prick out injector holes) ( the -injector is usually screwed into the tap), between the injector and burner mixing tube there is usually a aeration adjuster try closing it a LITTLE it will make burner less fierce but dont over do it.
Tony,
Contact Alde International on 01604 494193 for advice and spares, they are the agents in this country. They aslo have a web site at www.alde.co.uk or e-mail alde@aldeuk.force9.co.uk. if it is the same model as mine there are not many spares now available but hopefully it is not.
Regards,
Eddie
