I'm looking to take Kelisha out to check out and fine tune the engine / throttle adjestments. It works fine sat on the drive, revs loverly but I need to get her up to speed under load.

So where a good spot to give her a blast - with the following requirements
1) No speed limit - that rules out the Severn and the Avon.
2) Good steep slipway nearby - cant have a trek down a river to find open water.
3) Sheltered and flat - dont fancy being down in the engine bay bobbing around like a cork.
4) Close to Worcester - (so that rules out Loch Lomond - Alistair /forums/images/icons/wink.gif)

Ideas on a postcard - 15 words or less - in the event of a tie - the best answer to this question will win.
"I like hanging my head into the engine comparment because ......."

Actually South Cerney seemed a BETTER OPTION - fancy another trip out then ??

Anyone got any realistic ideas.

Tell you what, I'll meet you down at Poole/Redcliffe/Rockley. Theres no limit in the harbour until the spring. Loads of water there for thrashing about. It'll be pretty empty too at the moment. I know my way round am engine, I'll even set it up for you.

May 1971, which is a real shame, cos i hoped I could find something more like 1953
