Yep it's a case of not being in the right place at the right time, it happens at our stables peeps organise a do for that evening and if you are not there it all go's off without you. No probs.
But do we have to get ourselves on FB to be in the know and how do you do it without the latest mobile ie on a computer.
How about a do in January that all can come to it just needs to be somewhere convenient to get to.
I suggest somewhere just off the M6 easy for most to get to.
It would be nice to see Hayden, Mal, Rich and Robin there so somewhere maybe just north of Sandbach would be a good idea.Tarporley was Ok last year but it;s a bit of a distance of the M6 for some I must say OK by me.

Sorry some folk couldn't make it, didn't hear about it, or couldn't be fitted in, but Liz and Roy organized the do at short notice. The room was booked at The Garddfon as the majority of the interested parties spend most weekends at PD so it made sense to have the do there, those that hadn't got boats or motorhomes there were put up by other folks. The pub advised the room would seat 15, it was rapidly over subscribed at 17 so there was little point in posting it on here, in any event Liz doesn't do the forum so she put it on the boatie group on Facebook.

It was a very enjoyable evening followed by a few drinkies on Nautibelle, courtesy of Roy and Izzy.

Google facebook & fill in the form. Make sure you change privacy settings to Friends (or friends of friends) only. It will offer you a list of friends from the contact list of the e-mail address you provide. You can seek friends by name & then make a "friend request", if they agree you will see each other's posts & comments. "Boatie Friends" is a closed group, you need to make a request to join & Liz will let you in. it's a good way of keeping in touch with the Mob on the Straits.

As to another do, it's been an expensive couple of months & I need to save up a few more pension payments first before we can afford to go to another, maybe Feb-ish?

Thanks to Phil and Steve. Good to hear you all had a good evening. I will look into FB, I will get in touch with Phil and Liz.
At the moment I have just got a bit of a problem on the new Horsey Box a 2002 Iveco 75e 17 Tector (Grand Sons name for it) the perishing charge / ignition light is coming on as we drive so I am looking at the alternator brushes and regulator, trouble is the darn thing is all electronic and computerised not like the old fashioned ones.

Right so what are we going to do about it. Steve suggests he would be OK for some time in Feb-ish.
Are you in touch with Hayden, Mal and others uoop your end of north.
I will give Robin a shout unless he spots this in the mean time.
are you wintering this year at Glasson Dock.
Would one of the pubs there be worth while.

Oh no it's not, the rotten Gits forgot us. :p

Tom.

Tom, it was a rowdy night and pepper spray needed to be deployed to control the crowds. I didn't enjoy it at all. I was made to drink beer and be served bacon and eggs for breakfast. There were references to dancing around the nice, new shiny pole on Skylark but none of the ladies ventured forth. I thought I'd read that you'd put the first round "behind the bar". You're a gentleman, cheers!

Here's a "who's who" from the night. As you can see, we missed you terribly :)

I think the plane crash was at the hands of Phil.

I am humbled to have been invited to mix with the proletariat of PD. Thank you, kind sirs.
