Paid 300 for the radar itself - was end of line stock clearance. The 1622 went out of production 2 years ago. Rest was p&p and VAT.

Still great deal - a robust, reliable, easy to use radar for under 500

I installed one in 2000 and used it until I sold the boat this summer. Excellent set, used it for dozens of approaches in thick fog around the SW and Channel Islands. I like if far better than the Ratheon radar of a similar vintage I've 'inherited' on the new boat even though the new one is a far better set spec-wise. The 1622 is/was intuitive, the R80 isn't.
