It has been suggested that the owners of the boats of the Fairlie moorings might benefit from sharing contact details which would be used in the event of any issues being noticed with the boats. If you'd like to be part of this please send me a private message with you contact details. I'll need an email address and phone numbers plus your boat's name. In so doing I'll take it that you are willing to share you details with all others on the list. On receipt of new details I'll redistribute the updated list. Think of this as an aquatic Neighbourhood Watch Scheme. If there are non forumites who you are aware of who might be interested then please pass on the word.

Cheers

Great idea Geoff.
As you know it would speed up the process of contacting any owner of a boat with which there might be a problem that has been noticed by another boat owner while leaving or arriving at his/her mooring, as was the case a week last fri.
Parhaps Geoff you could mention your boat name here so any Fairlie mooring owners know who you are.

We now have 8 names on the list, so our DIY "Neighbourhood watch for boats" is up and running.

Oh and a wee bump too :p

Any more takers, please send your details.

Just to add to Geoff,s excellent work, If anyone on these forums knows anyone (non pc or forum folk) who keeps their boats at Fairlie bay (not the quay moorings) will you let them know of our neighbourhood mooring watch plan.
Thanks, C_W

Had a lovely present from neptune today, a Seago 230, with oars and transom wheels, directly inshore from the moorings in Fairlie.

It has no name on it, it may have come from other places (NW wind), but likely from the moorings, or possibly from the yacht club dinghy park.

If anyone has any ideas, or knows someone who may be away cruising, but left their dinghy on a mooring, let them know. Proof of ownership will be required.

Thanks
