Calico

Hi,

I was wondering how one would waterproof calico canvas for a tent, as I have some lying about. I realise that canvas rots but this would be for occasional use and I would always store it dry.

I've heard about using parrafin wax, does anyone have Any experience of this or any other method, thinking traditional here?

paraffin wax (pure) goes hard in even moderately cold weather.

Using fish oil and arsenic has its proponents, but I am not one of them, especially in a warm summer breeze.
