Cagliari booking for 2014

Ello Ello you lucky lot wintering in the Marina Del Sol Gagliari!!
We want to stay there May 2014 to May 2015 but cant make a booking ( tried several emails including one in my best Italian!!) No response. I really do want a confirmed booking and am happy to provide a deposit.
Do I have to get on a plane and come there in person!!??

Max, the marina "manager" and Antenello the yard "manager" (Son and Father) are notorious for not replying to emails.

You should have no trouble just turning up. They'll be happy to take your money. And you need to see the "facilities" and the fouling.
Unless your boat is enormous, and even then there are other possibilities in Southern Sardinia.

Apologies for thread drift, but we are planning to pass through Cagliari in mid July for a couple of nights, together with perhaps four or five other yachts on a small rally. I have been thinking of booking into the Marina di Sant Elmo. Any comments on them?
Also, any suggestions for a good restaurant for about twenty of us to have a convivial meal?
Then off to Sicily and Malta.
