Caframo Ultimate fan

We have 2 on the boat and need another. really good but they seem very expensive in the UK now. Much cheaper in the US even with poor exchange rate and delivery costs factored in.
Any ideas about cheaper UK source please?

If you have old ones they may be good, but I bought one, and it was a noisy piece of chinese junk, and I sent it back.

That's worth knowing. I cant say that mine are quiet but it is just fan noise rather than noisy motors. I have tried cheapo £5/10 pound ones and found them |VERY noisey.
I would be miffed to pay £60 for the Caframo and still suffer noise. Anyone have good experience with other models?

Most Caframos are quiet, I am a light sleeper and can sleep with one running on slow. However you do get the odd noisy one that dies early. I have 6 ultimates on my boat and replace one or two every year. During the summer one or two run all the time I am aboard.

I've got a Hella fan, aimed at the car/van market. Can't recall cost but it wasn't cheap. I mounted it on a bit of ply, stuck some non slip mat on the bottom and added a couple of large fishing weights (200 grams in total) to dampen any vibration. It's reasonably quiet at full speed, whispers at low speed and uses next to no power. I aim to buy another couple when I next see them somewhere.
