Hello All
Does anyone know how to thread cables(wires) from the flybridge helm to the lounge helm on a Sunseeker Manhattan 64 from 2001. There are some conduit but the wires dont seems to go all the way. Do we need to dismantle the kitchen?

Thanks
Ray

Hi Ray,
All sunseeker Manhattans have large flexible conduits that run from the lower to upper helm with plenty of spare capacity.

If you take a couple of ceiling panels down you will see the black conduits making their way to inside the helm panel.

The conduits will appear to be packed but this because the cables are loose in the conduit and this makes things difficult when you push another cable into the conduit.

Purchase an electricians plastic draw/fish wire and feed this though the conduit whilst another person rattles the conduit at the same time. You can then add the cables to the draw wire and gently pull from one end and push the draw wire from the other rattling the conduit at the same time.

It is not a hard job and you should not need to dismantle the kitchen.

if someone has carried out some diy alteration it is possible that they have altered the cable conduit to run from the upper helm down though the salon into the cabin ceiling and up into the lower helm.

I know this has been done because they did not use a draw wire and failed to rattle the conduit.
