The cable glands on my coachroof have had it.
Does anyone know where I could get a swan neck to take two 2-core electrical cables and a coax aerial cable?
I emailed a request for such an article to Classic Marine and Davey... no reply so I assume they don't do them. Toplicht in Hamburg do one in stainless which will have to do if I can't get bronze.
Anyone have such a thing in their lazarette going spare or know of a supplier?

Seascrew advertise one of these S/S cable swan necks, 32mm dia. Picture shown on thier web site seascrew.com online catalogue, cable glands, plugs and sockets section.
They also have a shop in Eastbourne telephone 01323430294

You might find a used bronze one in Foulkes Chandlery Barge, Bursledon, Hampshire. A long way from you but as they have a website I assume they will do mail order,

I saw this on Friday morning, it was just what I was looking for at a price I thought reasonable. I order a swan neck at midday, delivered by post first thing Saturday morning. Thats what I call good service. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I made my own - or rather got the local plumber to bend some 22mm copper pipe through about 160 degrees, I flared the end of the swan neck just a bit to minimise the risk if chafe and glued a hardwood disc (greenheart in my case but iroko or teak would have been just as good) at an appropriate point on the straight part. The disc if I recall ended up being about 70mm in dia and had a 22 mm hole in. I used sikaflex as a glue.

These were in service till the old rig came out, about 18 years and worked perfectly. If the 22mm pipe is too big for your application then the thing could easily be scaled down to fit 15mm pipe. the bend would also be that much tighter then of course.

Hope this helps

Just a word of warning if you order from HR as per Roach's post..

They add on 25% vat and the delivery is 12 quids !!

I know as I had been looking for one of these and when I saw the post quickly ordered it without checking to hard !!

578 sek altogether which comes out at 46 quid ..damn .. that ll teach me.

I have just recieved my posh HR swan neck thro the post.

Actually dispite the price I'm very happy with it..its got a 44mm ID so plenty of room to stuff all the cables thro'

Nicely made too.
