Having degreased, cleaned up and painted the engine bay in preparation for a shiny new Beta I went mental and cleaned up and painted every inch of bilge - sometimes you just don't know when to stop - maybe it was the fumes ...
Anyway having removed just about every bit of "sole" down below I now want to spruce these uo before refitting, They were originally covered in some sort of, pretty crap actually, fake vinyl planking that was beginning to turn up at the corners and then covered with carpet. I notice that shiny new Bavarias and the like appear to have some sort of similar fake planking but it does look quite smart. Does anyone know what this is and where you can obtain it? Any other ideas for smart but sensible coverings? Anyone who references Lemon or Dover buys the next round ... /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif (BTW the soles are heavy marine ply) Thanks in anticipation ...

Flotex. As used in kitchens and bathrooms in hotels.

You can spill food, drink, dog poo, general garbage on it, and it comes up clean with a squeegee. Provides a non-slip surface when wet.

Varied patterns and plain colours; rolls and squares.

I am sure Kenneth H would have approved of the product ! BTW - no commercial relationship with Flotex. It's just that I use it on the boat.

Thanks all - I'm gonna try sailcloth co. Failing that cork sounds OK. Flotex - did cross my mind but, about to be crucified by all the SWMBOs, I thought it a bit "chintzy" for a boat /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
