Hello,
as I have a c-map NT+ card in my old chart plotter, and I would use that card in my PC, does anyone know if the c-map usb card reader is a good tool? Someone told me that it is too slow in reading charts...
Thanks
Antonello

I use the c-map card reader on my PC and don't find it slow at all, both on my Vista PC and my 7 year old laptop.

It's biggest use is creating routes and waypoints, transferring them to a c-map user card, at home, and then transferring them to the chart plotter. Also I can transfer tracks from the chartplotter to the PC via the user card.

Seconded. Have not found it slow - though mine is the old style reader. One would expect the new one to be faster (errm just like Vista is faster than XP??).

I guess having s USB2.0 port might make a difference to the speed.
