Buying (& selling) a new dinghy in Gouvia, Corfu

What is the consensus on the best way to buy a new dinghy for a yacht in Corfu?

Is it better to buy in the UK & get it shipped or pick one up locally?

Likewise our new boat has come with a brand new unused 2.3m dinghy which is just too small for our needs. It was over 700 euros and has only been out the bag to take photos. Is there a "For Sale" bulletin board for owners out there as it's a cracking wee thing and a bargain for someone.

Price up dinghies in the local chandlers, see if any match your requirements, the price up ones from UK suppliers add in shipping and see which is best value for money. You might get a slightly better deal in Lefkas/Nidri than in Gouvia. If you don't want to hang round in Gouvia waiting for delivery, Vliho Yacht Club will accept deliveries and hold things until yin arrive.

Also in Nidri there is big chandlers that sells second hand gear also new, they might be up for a part ex deal for you.
