My company building manager just got a note from my Local Police highlighting increases in security which includes the following, which applies to retailers.

"Staff should inform police of large purchases of fuel in containers or suspicious vehicles"

Hope this is not going to give mobo users any problems!

It only applies to NHS staff. They can not afford a boat.

Join the club, as was eliquently put my boat would be cheaper to run if i took the carb off and just had someone with a bucket of petrol pouring it into the engine.. haha

Why you....I oughta.........! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif As it happens I can afford a boat, however the petrol is another matter. I've got a gas barbeque, do you think I'll have a problem getting a refill?

This will be interesting as I need to buy 40 litres of go juice on Saturday.

If I tell them I am not a member of the military wing of the NHS, will I be okay?

Technically you can't get served to more than two 2 gallon metal containers, properly labled and with screw tops, at any one time, I have found that normally you can get round this by paying for the fuel.
If however you choose to attempt this while wearing a white coat it may be difficult.

The amount you can get served in containers varies by the licence held by the petrol station in question, (or by corporate guidelines)

.......or by how sneakily you can hide several 6-gallon containers at the rear of your vehicle, or by hiding them from the filling-station CCTV, or visiting when the filling-station is really busy and there's only one 16 year old behind the till, or..........etc.

Security ? I really can't see how these terrorist types get away with it, can you ?!?!?
