I am thinking of buying a new 35 to 40 ft sports cruiser. I have been told that it is possible to get a good discount. If anyone knows how much discount i should expect to get on this size boat please let me know. Thanks.

All agents have different levels of comission which in turn affects the amount of discount available.

Negotiate the discount on the price of the boat seperate to the price of the extras that way you will come out on top.

You might get up to 10% particularly if the boat you are interested in is in the dealer's stock and burning a hole in his bank account or already in build but probably expect less for a new build

You will get your best discount if you buy now rather than in the spring. It is a buyers market now for secondhand boats as a lot of people are trying to offload their boats so they dont have to work on them during the winter. In order for the new boats not to be overpriced by comparison, the discerning broker will also have adjusted his price. I he hasnt - go somewhere else!!

Why buy new?.Let someone else spend the first season getting all the stuff fixed and working.
