Buying/making a flap cover for instruments/switches

We have a semi-weatherproofed 'wheelhouse'. In the process of rewiring we will end up with more switches and instruments here and relatively exposed. I would like to buy or make a transparent lifting cover to protect them. My fabrication skills are best described as agricultural, so ideally I would like to find a supplier who could make something to order, failing that any ideas on how to make it ?


Poking around in a brokers website I came across a Moody 38 with a picture of exactly the sort of thing I am looking for:

I used a peice of perspex and some hardwood strips cut at a 30 degree angle so the perspex fitted over the ignition key its been fine.
