Buying/making a flap cover for instruments/switches

We have a semi-weatherproofed 'wheelhouse'. In the process of rewiring we will end up with more switches and instruments here and relatively exposed. I would like to buy or make a transparent lifting cover to protect them. My fabrication skills are best described as agricultural, so ideally I would like to find a supplier who could make something to order, failing that any ideas on how to make it ?

You can get a piece of perspex cut to size from a sign maker and fit hinges to it. If you want trim (not SS) then you could try a company that re-trims cars.

Do you know a picture framer?

I made mine from perspex and added two thin pieces of oak to sandwich the perspex at the top edge to take the 'inges.

I could not find one either so I had to make mine

I used a peice of perspex and some hardwood strips cut at a 30 degree angle so the perspex fitted over the ignition key its been fine.
