I know some people who just did it. They're still in Holland at the moment, but planning to bring the boat to the UK in a couple of weeks....

Will do a search on the forum myself and see if there are some funny things involved....

I bought recently in Holland through a broker. No problems at all.Had a survey done by a HISWAS registered surveyor cost 500 euros for a 27ft boat.I paid deposit in euros & remainder by cheque as the owner was English.I was going to use SGM-FX foreign exchange specialists in London to buy & transfer the euros. They charge no commission & you can secure your exchange rate up front.Have a look at their website www.sgm-fx.com.They are very helpful.I found the agent Bach Yachting excellent. We used English documents(MCA) as bill of sale.Prices in Holland appear more competitive than UK.Sailed boat back last month from Enkhuizen through Markermeer via North sea canal through Amsterdam to east coast. There is alot of info on this site which helped me enormously.Go for it.

bought one in late Feb. this year.

Do a search, I've mentioned the few differences here or on motorboat chat before.
