Hello,
We are looking around for a good live aboard boat, and blue water cruiser for long distance sailing. We have been quite taken by the look of the Wauquiez 43 Pilot Saloon. We hope to look around one very soon, but we wondered if any of the readers had experience of sailing a Wauquiez PS that they would be willing to share with us.
We think the PS will be better suited for live aboards than the Centurion, and will probably give us the headroom we require for a 6'3" bloke. The only drawback we can see is that the number of berths is limited to two cabins with perhaps a double berth provided by a drop down table in the dining area, so a total of six can be accommodated. So hosting of visitors would need some careful coordination.
Any help or advice you can provide would be much appreciated.

many thanks
SJK

You could try to find an older PS48 by the same manufacturer. That has three cabins plus saloon and there are a few around for sensible money.

Generally though they sail well and are a high quality boat

Some friends looked at one but found it too small for their round the world needs, they bought a Contest 48 in the end. I am sure they sail well but we have a three cabin 42 footer and couldn't do without it for all the friends that have visited, so if you need the space find a bigger/better layout otherwise you'll be cursing everytime someone turns up.....
