Buy a marina before the stinkies do!

Take a look at the 'buy a marina' posting on the Motor Boat forum.

Looks like they are really going for it. And the business proposition seems to pass the sniff-test of common sense.

Months ago there was a posting from someone who was considering a plan for a greenfield owner-developed marina. Although it got tons of interest, I never heard any more about it. This idea has a lot more sense, as its an existing marina, with residential planning permission apparently.

As an aside, why is it taking so long to load, and change forums, I've managed to feed the dog and open a bottle whilst waiting. Kim whats up? Or is it just Friday pm sluggishness after too many at lunch time, and no one really wants to go home to greet enthusiastically their spouse and kiddies?

OK I retract the idea of sharing it, so long as you promise to keep it full of Stinkies that are currently elsewhere on the Solent.

With Island Marina's limited access, that should half the amount of stinkies out at any time, leaving the rest of the solent a quieter place.

Hmm, maybe it wouldnt work, as most Stinkies stay firmly secured to their pontoons anyway, so there wouldn't be much difference in practice.

Make up your mind!

If most stinkies stay tied to the pontoons why are you lot always moaning about us then? Can't bloody win can we - damned if we don't, damned if we do;¬)

ps don't tell the others but your money's as good as anyone's if you want in....

You've got the right train of thought here J.

Encourage the stinkies to buy their own marina, if enough of them get interested then the whole movement could become a cult, then on to a complete party with politcians elected etc. The funds generated would be huge, all the motor dealers, hairdressers and jewellers amongst them would chip in trillions from under the mattresses and then they would realise that just one marina would not be big enough, they would need their own country. Mass emigration to another new world, free from raggies (we off course are devasted by this news) no polution or speed restrictions and tax free fuel.
