Butane heater on the boat??

Hi all,

Planning to spend this weekend on the boat but it's getting a little chilly now and with no shore power there is no way to heat the cabin.. So I had a quick look and I see there are 1.3kw heaters that use Butane gas canisters..

Are these ok to use effectively "indoors"?

Shore power to fit is not that expensive

Gas independent heaters on a small boat are in the way, and dangerous from the point of view of fire and asphyxiation

My view would be shore power or generator and electric or diesel such as Milano or eberspacher

Boat is a Larson Cabrio 254.. It's fitted out with shore power connections but is kept on a swing mooring or tied up to a pontoon when staying overnight where there is no shore power available..

Since I am there on Friday I guess its looking like a warm sleeping bag is the only option..

A really good duvet or sleeping bag would be a much better investment, plus you stand a much better chance of actually waking up the next day.
I sometimes run a small electric fan heater off shore power for chilly mornings.
For the evenings, you just need to find someone cuddly to snuggle up to
