When I get bored with boating on the Thames, I like to go er boating on the East Coast with my father (FOA - father of Apollo) sometimes by son comes too (SOA)
My parents used to have a boat on the Thames and on retirement moved up to where they spent most of their summer holidays on the boat, around the Rivers Colne and Blackwater.
This weekend, there was a Gaff and Thames Barge race hence a few interesting craft anchored out at the end of the day and the wafting across of sausages frying as we sailed past.
It was also a rarity in that I didnt actually run the boat aground, thanks to we managed to get his fishfinder/echosounder working!!
Back to the old routine next weekend!
