I had the link bookmarked to the AthensInfoGuide website.

They have done some major re-structuring of the site and, as far as I can make out, dropped the info from their list.

It's easy enough to get bus information from various local sites but those of you who used to rely on the athensinfoguide site woule be well to be aware of the lack of bus departure information.

Thanks for that, James, it's no problem getting specific coach time from a variety of sites but mighty inconvenient.

Great consternation - lots of people flying on Wednesday 14th when the Med-area air traffic controllers are having a stoppage. I understand it's 2-4 hours but results in aircraft being in the wrong place at the right time and crews exceeding their flying hours.

I'm (smugly) travelling the previous day, and hope that BA is flying on time.

Only hearsay at the moment but may be of interest for the future. Strinzen ferries that operate between Patra and kefalonia have gone bust. A reduced ferry service is operating, taken over by Ionian ferries.
Also heard that one of the Patra/Italy ferries will now stop at an additional port, Trieste as well as the normal Corfu/ igumetsia, should start in the new year. Repeat, this is hearsay and not confirmed yet.

Affirmative, and a lot of inter-island ferries have gone down. Poros, Cephalonia - Killini being the latest.
Ships are dreadful expensive things to run - worse than yachts and have a very high break-even point.

Looking at one website they say the public unions are striking for 4 hours on Tuesday and wednesday.

As far as I am aware the Poros Killini is still up and running 3 crossings a day, It is run by Ionian ferries. Regarding Kefalonia/Sami, The Kefalonia and the Epitanis plied this route twice a day, the route is now operated by the Andreas Kalvos (spelling) it is now once a day.

Rumour is that they have sold either the Epitanis or the Kefalonia.

As of 20th October, I was informed that the Poros - Killini ferry was suspended, however all things in Greece are changeable.

Were those not the strikes which took place in the run-up to the parliamentary vote last Tuesday and Wednesday?

This coming Wednesday 14th November is when the Air Traffic controllers in Spain, Italy and Greece are proposing to strike for 2 - 4 hours

Ah well that probably puts paid to the X93 from Kiffousou St.

There are usually a few blackleg taxis around.

Not so: it's their the Civil Servants Union; Greece will almost certainly work better as a result.
Sounds as though the Greek Government are at last succumbing to the pressure from the Troika and are about to cull that vast, bloated and under-employed sector of the Greek economy which has conributed so much to the current situation.
