From the sea.... its a good few miles to open water... perhaps at a guess 8nm to the Whitaker buoy.... Speed limit only exists to the end of the moorings by Rice and Cole..... You'll need a Crouch Harbour permit.... don't think its very expensive.... most marinas include it as part of their berthing fees.... All the above from memory.... usual caveats, blah de blah...
