Full Circle will be making a spectacle of herself in Class 6 Family Cruisers at Burnham Week tomorrow and for the week.

Anyone else out there, what class?

See you for a beer in the RCYC post race (thats what they call them apparently).

Good luck Jim.

I hope you do better than we are at Dartmouth.
We appear to be gettin worse as the week progresses.

Wednesday's Passage race from Brixham.
The wind dropped to force 0 as the start gun went.
Once we got going we passed a few bigger boats but didn't get into Start bay before the tide turned.
The wind dropped again as we went behind some rocks to cut the corner and the tide was sweeping us backwards so we dropped anchor which dragged for a while (
all 30m of chain out in 20m of water).
When it got a grip on something we stated logging 1.6 knts through the water and a few boats couldn't keep up with us.
There where quite a few retirements then.
We started to make some toast when the wind picked up again and it was up anchor.
This proved difficult as we had snagged a pot line.
We got this clear and struggled on to record a finish.
15th out of over 50 starters.
Only 18 finishes in total.

1st Race on Thursday
A windward Leeward Course in Start bay.
Good fun but lost out at the start and in a scramble at the finish line due to lack of experience and an over active sense on boat preservation.
16th in a class of 26 with 21 finishers.
Great place to see the Farr 45's in close up action!

2nd race today.
a Coastal race in Start Bay.
Not a lot of wind and we could not get Sirenia going and ended up at the tail end of the fleet.
As part of the course took us close to Dartmouth and we could not see any prospect in improving our position we retired and headed for the wine bottle.

Lessons in racing a Evolution 25 gratefully received!
