Visit site
RCC off to Burnham over Easter.
First proper cruise this year. 6 hours @ 8-10 knots.
Several boats collected enough very fine weed in filters to raise temperatures.
Cracking weekend. 15 boats.
Visited train Museum.Excellent Value.
Sunday lunch in the Yacht Club.Well looked after.
Dinner in the Oyster Smack. Cheaper than expected. :)
Dinner in the SwallowTail , excellent and friendly service. More expensive than expected.:(

Is the super yacht still on its side there?

Claimed to be Thornycroft's Lys Helig an old quite large gentleman's motoryacht.

"Sold" on eBay more than once.

Google sat view shows its location.

yea, its still there.That s one big old lump to raise from the dead.
Not worth the cost of salvaging ?

Curiously not a pot marker to be seen anywhere en route.
Interesting going across the Whitaker at LW.
 
It does look like scrap and quite awkward scrap to deal with as well but there was some excitement about a year ago about someone who was going to restore it as a classic Thorneycroft motor yacht.

I don't think it's the boat it is claimed to be as it seems much newer than 1920s. I know they remodelled boats like that but it seems to be a different boat.

The local council want it moved.
