Did anyone see that 'Day Fishing Boat' parking on Sun?

He came in, dragged his stbd qtr across the stern of three yachts, tried to increase the size of the berth with his swim platform, and dug his anchor into a fifth!!!

He only admitted to the one!!!

How scary is that!!

The staff at Haslar were great as usual, by pointing out that they were aware of the FULL incident and would inform all parties involved.

I couldn't believe my eyes. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

For the benefit of the tape I left Chi Marina at 2200 Saturday, berthed at Sparkes overnight and was back in my Mill Rythe berth by 1015.

Unfortunately the only witness refuses to give her name and address.

Was this between E and F pontoons?

I saw some masts wagging violently to and fro after what sounded like a collision noise, so must have been hit pretty hard.

This isn't the boat on the K pontoon is it ( last row, by the rear entrance ) ? The one with only 2 balloon fenders , neither of which are actually positioned to do anything useful and a veritable birds nest of a mooring warp. I saw him clang into a neighbour's bathing platform a few weeks ago but when I checked I couldn't see any obvious damage. Doesn't seem to understand what the tide is doing to him ( it can catch you unawares on K , ahem ... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif ). Nevertheless, not owning up to a collision is a bit of a poor show.

We are berthed on D1 stern to, and it was behind us. I rekon that must be between D and E right down the bottom, port side were the three and the one on it's own that was clumped was about third one up on the stbd side as you look up the berth's.

Yes real poor show of seamanship, and manners.

It's possible! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

MOBO, twin engine's, a bit of a 'gaff', but it could happen to any of us.

I did feel for him, way too much power, he panick'd, and then he's on a sticky wicket !

I wasn't impressed with the lack of ownership of the full facts though.

We can only hope it never happens to us.
