Bukh Thermostat

Anybody know if I could get a themostat for a Bukh 24 ME direct cooling 60 deg opening from a local car spares dept?

unlikley as indirect cooling as on car engines work at higher temperatures

Please let us knw if you do find an alternative. I tried hard a few years ago but had no success, though that was in the Med. and my Spanish isn't very good! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

If so what price did he quote??

Spoke to Bukh today and was told that the size and spec is used only on these engines. Salt water resistant materials and lower (60 deg) opening temp. I was quoted £50 but told first to take out and heat in an old pan while checking opening temp with thermometer before committing.
They really are very helpfull

Cliff, Is this the raw water cooled one which opens at 60 deg.?
